SERA Connects: Theory and Philosophy Network Event
Date and time: Thursday 3rd September, 5.00pm-6.00pm
Presenter: A seminar hosted by Philip Tonner (University of Glasgow) and David Lewin (University of Strathclyde)
Who is this online seminar for: This seminar will be of interest to teachers, researchers and other key stakeholders interested in finding out more about this new SERA network.
Theoretical and philosophical considerations in education are always important, but they are especially so during the present situation of crisis and change in education. How should we theorise education considering the current demands being placed on educators and education systems to change in response to Covid-19 and what role does philosophy have in this conceptualisation? Our SERAconnects event will pose these questions in such a way as to facilitate a conversation about the kinds of research and research collaborations that are likely to be the most effective in meeting some of the old, as well as the new, challenges facing educators, not just in Scotland, but globally.
