Seminar Overview
This is the fourth seminar in a series drawing on the work of the Scottish Council of Deans of Education Scottish Attainment Challenge Project.
This relates to the project’s fourth focus area, Social justice –Agency and respect which looks to extend and entrench social justice as an active education ethos, challenging deficit models, engendering pupil agency and developing critical social justice dispositions that recognise the impact of structural as well as individual factors on children and young people living in SIMD 1-40 areas.
The seminar will open out to discussion with attendees after two short inputs from the presenters.
